We only occasionally need personal hygiene products; we receive these in abundance.  We usually need very specific items. 

Please call before collecting or purchasing personal products to find out what we need at that time.  Current and ongoing  needs are:

• laundry detergent

• dish detergent for handwashing dishes

• coffee, non-perishable cream, and sugar

• shower curtains [full size, not stall-size]

• manicure sets that include tweezers

• Hair products made for African hair: Olive oil cremes; pomades, etc

• Alarm clocks

• Gift certificates from grocery stores

• Gift certificates from Office Depot* (for office supplies)

• Gift certificates from Walmart* (for new underwear for new residents)

• Postage stamps

• Ball point pens, spiral notebooks

• Cleaning supplies (multi-surface spray cleaners, bathroom-specific cleaners, Pine Sol, and bleach)

• 13 gallon, 33 gallon and 55 gallon trash bags

• Gallon and quart size zip-lock freezer bags

• Flatware [stainless, not plastic]

• We mention Office Depot because it is walking distance from Killingsworth. When we need office supplies “right now,” we can easily walk down the street.*

• Two Walmarts are on the city bus line and their prices are reasonable for us and our residents.*

• The nearest grocery store is a Food Lion, located near the Office Depot.*
